What is the difference between Premium, HQ and Wholesale?
They are different routes into Sri Lankan networks. Premium uses the local route and has separate transactional and promotional rates; it suits OTPs, alerts and campaigns, and is available to businesses incorporated in Sri Lanka. HQ is a higher-quality international route for messages where delivery matters, and Wholesale is the lowest-cost international route for high volumes. Our team will recommend the right one for your use case.
Can I pay in Sri Lankan rupees?
Yes. Businesses in Sri Lanka pay in rupees at the domestic rates. International senders pay in US dollars.
Who can use the Premium rates?
Premium transactional and promotional rates are available when the sender is a business incorporated in Sri Lanka. Businesses registered elsewhere can send to Sri Lanka on the HQ or Wholesale routes.
What is a sender ID and who registers it?
A sender ID is the name customers see instead of a number, such as your brand. We register it as part of setup and submit it for approval before you start sending.
Can I send SMS in other languages?
Yes. Unecast supports English, Sinhala, Tamil and other languages for SMS.
Do you support SMPP?
Yes. Connect high-volume systems over SMPP, or use the REST API and webhooks.
